No One in Fishers Needs to Know You’re Straightening

Do you desire a smile that looks perfectly straight? Teeth that are properly aligned not only look better, but are also easier to clean. While there are many options for straightening teeth, you want the least invasive, most discreet, and most comfortable treatment.

At Simply Dental, we offer Invisalign® clear aligner orthodontics as an alternative to metal braces for patients who want straighter teeth. We’re happy to offer a consultation to determine if your smile can benefit from Invisalign.

What’s Invisalign?

Invisalign aligners are made from clear BPA-free plastic that are custom-fit to your specific course of treatment. Every two weeks, you’ll swap aligners, which will gradually shift your teeth into their correct position. We use 3D computer imaging to ensure a comfortable fit and to accurately plot the course of realignment and achieve perfect results.

What are the benefits?

One of the biggest benefits to using Invisalign to straighten your teeth is that, as you would expect from the name, the aligners are virtually invisible. No one will know you are straightening your teeth, as there’s no wires, no brackets to adjust, and no metal. Because the aligners are removable, you can eat or drink whatever you want. This also makes your routine of brushing and flossing just as easy. Invisalign is great for teens as well, as it doesn’t affect their appearance and has no interference with sports or other social activities.

How does it work?

The whole Invisalign process fits in with our name, as its simple and convenient. We’ll custom make your sets of aligners with computer assisted imaging. You can expect to wear between 18 and 30 different aligners throughout the course of your treatment, which on average takes about 9 to 15 months. Every two weeks, you’ll swap aligners to the next in the series, and very gradually the Invisalign system will reposition your teeth. You should wear your aligners for at least 20-22 hours a day, removing them to eat, drink, and clean your teeth. Approximately every six weeks, we’ll schedule an appointment to monitor your progress and ensure you’re on track to meeting your desired results. This generally means less visits to the dentist than are required with traditional orthodontics.
