This technology eliminates the wait time for a dental laboratory, as we can produce your crowns and partials right in our office. It’s convenient, safe, and quick, since most restorations can be completed in a single visit. We even make dental veneers with our CEREC.
The dental diode laser is used in oral surgery and other procedures which involve the removal or dissection of soft tissue. VELSCOPE™ Enhanced Oral Assessment System is a wireless, handheld scope used to detect abnormal tissue in the mouth. An integral part of our oral cancer screenings, this technology uses tissue fluorescence instead of light reflection, like traditional exam tools, to find cellular, structural, and other areas of concern in oral tissue.
The CariVu™ camera uses safe, near infrared trans illumination technology to detect cavities and cracks in the teeth. It’s simple, painless and uses zero radiation. CariVu is particularly good at finding cavities between the teeth, even at early stages. Since the tooth can be viewed at multiple angles, a cracked tooth can be revealed and even the extent of the fracture. After we take these images, we will store them in the patient chart so we can compare them visit to visit. This technology is used in combination with traditional x-rays allowing Dr. Clauss to view each tooth thoroughly.
